A Confirmation/Commissioning Class is offered every other year for youth in grades 9 and above.

The program utilizes an eight week curriculum that is experientially based and includes a weekend retreat.  The class meets on Thursdays from 4:45 - 8:00 p.m. and includes a meal.  It is team taught by a pastor and lay people. Each week's class is built around a theme: Journey of Faith, Images of God, People, The Church, Caring (Mission), Commitment, Sacraments & Prayer, and Reflections on the Journey of Faith.  At the conclusion of the class each student writes their own personal Statement of Faith which they share with each other and with the Session.  

Traditionally, the youth are confirmed on Palm Sunday.

The goal of the class is to encourage and enable the youth to be "informed" about the Christian faith and to be "formed" by experiencing God within a community of sisters and brothers in Christ. 

The next Confirmation/Commissioning Class will occur in the Winter/Spring of 2013.
