The First Presbyterian Church Nursery School, Stamford, was established by the Session of the church and is supervised by the Board of Directors and the Learning Community Mission Team.
The school is sponsored by the First Presbyterian Church as an integral part of it's Christian education program and is intended to be a service to the general community, without regard to race, creed, sex or color.
The school's mission is to provide quality care and learning opportunities for children in an atmosphere where Christian values and love are evident in the classroom.

The FPC Nursery School program is planned with the purpose of encouraging the growth of the unique person found in each child and of developing constructive attitudes for happy and responsible relationships with peers, parents and teachers.
The school occupies rooms in the education area of the church complex located at 1101 Bedford Street. The school is arranged with well-equipped work areas, educational equipment and an enclosed playground area.
The school will provide snacks, all teaching materials, blocks, paper, educational toys, crayons, paints, clay, books, music, play equipment , training materials and all items necessary for carrying on a quality program of nursery education for boys and girls.
- All programs are open to children three to five years of age.
- Three year olds may only enroll for the two- or three-day programs.
- A child must be two years and nine months upon entering the nursery school.
- All children must be toilet trained.
